For those of you who are new to the blog, I was a regular
here until life interfered—not in a bad way, thank goodness, but rather in a
busy way. I wrote a lot of books last year while teaching all science classes,
grades 7-12, in a rural school and commuting over two hours a day. Sometimes
you just hit a point where something has got to give, and for me it was
blogging. My personal blog, my sewing
blog, Superauthors…all gathered cobwebs during 2015…but in 2016 I’m turning
that around!
So what’s new with me?
I started writing my Brodys of Lightning Creek series last
year, kicking it off with a free read, To Win a Cowgirl, on Harlequin.com. To Tempt a Cowgirl released
in July and To Kiss a Cowgirl released in December. The final story, To Court a
Cowgirl, will come out this August. These four books tell the stories of the independent Brody sisters, who own a ranch in western Montana.

I also started writing for Harlequin American, soon to be
known as Harlequin Western, and I’m so excited to be working for both Supers
and American/Western. My first American, The Bull Rider Meets his Match, releases in
March.
So that’s what’s up with me. What’s up with you?
To celebrate my return to Superauthors, I'm giving away an autographed copy of one of my books (winner's choice) to a randomly chosen commentor. Good luck!

I'm loving your view.
I have a painter coming in tomorrow to paint the inside of my house. He's in for a big job as the old paint all needs to be stripped right back. I'm not looking forward to the mess & upheaval, but it will be lovely to have the house all fresh and new.
I love your books, Jeannie. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hopes to do better at blogging.
I've been busy, too. My fourth book comes out today. And I've got a new series I'm working on and I've got a Senior getting ready to graduate, an 8th grader, too.
That sounds lovely, Mary. I do love a freshly painted room. Enjoy!
Hi Kristina-Congrats on the new book and the senior! This will be a very busy spring for you. Time flies, doesn't it?
I have to weed my yard, ugh! Had a lot of rain this season and they are popping up everywhere! Also have planned... straighten out my closet... what a mess, LOL!
Welcome back Jeannie and congrats on the home close to your parents. I wish I lived closer to my 93 year old mother, as I am thinking at some point she will need me. I love your books so keep them coming!
I am soooo jealous of that view from your kitchen window!
So beautiful.
I was just wondering about the 3rd Brody book and now I don't have to wonder anymore.
What's new with me? Writing. Hoping 2016 will be my year.
From MarcieR
life is looking good but busy for you. Hope the new house gets finished the way you want this summer.
I see a tidying up theme here. 🙂 Good luck with closet and weeds!
Thank you, Mary Jane. I feel blessed to able to move closer.
I love a good cow view. :) Good luck with the writing, Marcie!
Thank you, Jean. I'm looking forward to the time when writing is my only job--other than family management, of course.
Wow, you are one busy woman! I guess we all have different kinds of busy--I work in retail, so have just emerged from our most busy time of year. Finally able to hunker down with some good winter reading! Thanks for the chance to win a book!

Enjoy your reading! I'm looking forward to some of that myself.
Welcome back! Since I'm looking for a new series to read, I'll have to check the Brody sisters. Thanks!
you sound busy

Thank you, Natalija!
Very busy...but if I wasn't I'd come up with something to make me busy. :)
Silly me! I didn't realize that read was an intro to a series, Jeannie! I'm definitely going to have to catch up--I'm so happy to know you're writing away!! Nothing too new yet this year--glad to be enjoying more time with the kids, more editing, more reading ;)
Thanks for keeping us posted!

I've missed you on the harlequin blog! Lots of authors have dropped off. Didn't know American was changing their name. Seems fitting though since they all seem to be westerns. I love them. Amazes me how much you do with so little time. Are you retiring from teaching soon? Or are you planning to teach in Montana? That is going to be a totally different lifestyle from Nevada. No generator! I better get off to bed.
Thank you , Fedora. Enjoy your year!
No generator...happy sigh. I'm teaching my volcano unit and thinking of you. I will retire the first part of June and then I will be a full time writer! Yay!
YAY you!!! If you need any information on Volcanoes let me know. I live on a live Volcano :).

So I went to Lake Louise to see the ice sculptures and then to Banff for a swim in the hot pools on the 19th. Got home from a lovely day out and got violently sick with food poisoning. I am just starting to recover so I'm late saying how happy I am to see you back on the blogs.
I love your new house view and hope you really enjoy it once you move in.
I'm hoping to crochet a few afghans this year. I've got a start on a temperature one after a chance to join in on the eHarlequin site challenge.
Hi Kaelee -- I've been thinking about you this holiday season. I cherish my glass buttons. So sorry to hear about the food poisoning. Yikes! I'm crocheting afghans myself--just a few rows here and there, but they add up. I'm really glad you stopped by!
