Woohoo!! To say I'm excited that my Harlequin debut is being released today has to be the understatement of the year and it's only February :D
I received the email from my agent back in May 2012 telling me Harlequin Superromance wanted to contract my romantic suspense novel, 'Finding Justice'. I was writing outside on what was a very warm and sunny day (a near miracle here in the UK), and I literally danced a jig on my patio, all alone and blissfully happy. The dog shot up from his doze and starting barking like he was warning the neighbors I'd lost my mind.
Since then, Harlequin have contracted a second book in what I hope will be an ongoing series. 'A Man Like Him' will be released in August and centers around the Chris Forrester, who is the brother of the heroine in book one. As well as these two books, my editor has already requested a proposal for book three and a synopsis for a Christmas 2014 story too. The link that runs through the books is they are all romantic suspense and set in the fictional UK seaside town of Templeton Cove.
It's a dream come to true to be published with Harlequin and even better, to have an ongoing series planned blows my mind! I love the new family of authors I am coming to know here at Harlequin. I am learning so much from these generous group of writers who are so willing share their knowledge.
Happy Release day to my fellow authors this month - let's celebrate!
Finding Justice - first in the Templeton Cove series...
Old friends, new secrets
Sergeant Cat Forrester lives by her own set of
rules. When her childhood friend is murdered, Cat's world is thrown into chaos.
Especially because Jay Garrett-a man from her past-is a suspect, and he needs
her help to prove he's innocent. After all they once shared, how can she say
no?
The attraction flares between them, and getting
involved with a suspect is a huge risk. But the more time Cat spends with Jay,
the stronger the tug on her heart. He is the same caring, irresistible man she
remembers. Yet she can't let her emotions interfere with the case—solving it is
top priority. But as she digs deeper, she discovers Jay has secrets that may
jeopardize any possible future together.
Bio:
Rachel lives
with her husband and two young daughters in a small town near Bath in the
UK. After having several novels
published by small US presses, she secured agent representation in 2011. In
2012, she sold two books to Harlequin Superromance. She also writes Victorian
romance for Kensington--her debut was released in April 2013.
Rachel is a member
of the Romantic Novelists Association and Romance Writers of America. When she
isn’t writing, you’ll find Rachel with her head in a book or walking the beautiful
English countryside with her family and beloved black Lab, Max. Her dream place
to live is Bourton-on-the-Water in South West England…although she hopes a
dream visit to Canada might just change her mind!
She likes
nothing more than connecting and chatting with her readers and fellow romance
writers. Rachel would love to hear from you!

Woooohooooo, Rachel!!! This book sounds wonderful and I can't wait to read it!
Congrats, Rachel! Such a wonderful day for you!
I love Superromance is seeing books set in seaside English towns. That was one of the things I loved about the old Supers -I could travel the world with those heroes and heroines. This is the best thing about Superromance. Diversity and big juicy stories. Enjoy your debut!
Hi Mary & Liz!
I am having the best day EVER and you guys are only just waking up, LOL!! It's 2pm here so I really hope I can get to talk to everyone before it starts getting late here :)
I was absolutely thrilled when Super were not only interested in a single UK set story, but two...maybe more!
Happy day - thank you for sharing it with me :)

Hi Kaelee!
I am beyond excited to be (as far as I know!) the author of one of the first Supers to be set in England. I just hope and pray everyone who reads the book, enjoys it as much as I did writing it. Templeton Cove has become a much treasured seaside town to me :)

Snookie - SO glad you like the premise of my story! You wouldn't believe the volume of my scream when HQ offered a contract. I'd never read a Super set in the UK either :)
Hi Kris!! You were the very first Super author who welcomed me to the fold :) I LOVE being here - long may it continue!
