Since we're all about books here at the SuperRomance Authors Blog, it seems fitting to follow up yesterday's post about movie quotes with a post about book quotes. These lines of dialogue won't come from just any book. No, we're talking quotes from Superromances!
Super authors should feel free to post a favorite line (or lines) of dialogue either from their works in progress or one of their recent or upcoming Superromances. Let the quoting begin!

My quotes are from The Truth About Tara, which came out last month.
“It doesn’t take much to make you happy, does it?”
“Come to my place one day and you’ll find out.”
I loved the Truth about Tara :)
Darlene, I love your quote!
Here are a few lines from the opening pages of my October book, To Be A Family.
John’s intense blue gaze swept over her from head to toe then returned to linger on her face. “You look great. I like your hair like that. What are you up to?”
Self-consciously Katie tucked a dark strand of shoulder-length hair behind her ear. He always did this, acted as if he didn’t remember they’d broken up.
Great dialogue, Darlene! I love it. Great quote, Joan!
I don't have dialogue but a paragraph from last year's Beyond Ordinary:
There wasn't a square inch of her body Timm hadn't fantasized about touching over the years. She was even softer than he'd imagined and an urge rose in him—to stake his claim on the playground of her body like the worst neighborhood bully.
This is slightly intimidating! Those are great quotes. Here are a few lines from my WIP. I don't have release date yet.
He cleared his throat when she didn’t look in his direction. “It feels like rain,” he said. Brilliant, yet original. Hard to top that.
Sylvie obviously thought otherwise. He heard her sigh as she scooped the cat into her arms and turned to face him. The smile she offered looked like the leftovers that usually resided at the back of his refrigerator. Bland, wilted and dried up around the edges.
Oh! I think I have to read The Truth About Tara next!
I have 100 pages of Joan's book to go.

Ooooh, these are all such fun!
I'll play. Here's mine, from A Better Father, coming in April.
"So you're not a toe-kisser" Sam asked.
Libby went very still below his hands. "This is inappropriate. You're my boss."
"I'm a lot more than that, toots."
I love these! Here's a little from Out of the Depths my August release:
His heartbeat went wild. He didn't know whether to be thrilled she'd spoken or terrified because she was in pain. "Keep making noise. C'mon, babe."
"Chance!" Kyndal's voice grew to a cry of alarm. "I hit my head. Everything's so black, I'm afraid I'm blind!"
"No you're not." Spurred by her fear, he groped his way toward the voice in the enveloping blackness. "It's just the dark, Kyndal. We'll find a way to get some light. Just let me find you first."
Here's a quote from His Secret Past, my 2009 rock star book.
She muttered half to herself, "I hope no one thinks we pulled in here for a nooner."
"No one would come here for a nooner. This is where people come to dispose of bodies, not to have affairs."
"Still, you are practically naked."
Kris--why am I not surprised your book is about people doing inappropriate things. ;-)
Great quotes, everyone!!!
Ellen, LOL!
You know, you really set yourself up there for a great line about me not being surprised that your book is about nooners. You are just so lucky that I would never dream of making that kind of joke. Nope. Not me. Never.
This is from my upcoming November Super--The Life of Riley. The hero, Jackson Sinclair, has just returned home. They are divorced, by the way. He's just arrived back and walked into the diner.
When everyone looked up, he grinned and said in a voice loud enough for everyone to hear,"That's right. The prodigal son has returned."Walking straight to the long Formica counter, Jackson hit his hand on the aged patina. "Dorothy Lyn, before you call Riley and let her know I'm home, would you serve me up one of your Hamhock-burgers? With seasoned fries on the side and the biggest Coca-Cola you can find, suga'. Oh, and peach pie, too. I'm starving."
Touché, Kris.
Clearly I need to reread The Ladies Guide to Genteel Internet Posting. It didn't even REGISTER that my quote contained inappropriate content. I just think the word "nooner" is hilarious. ;-)
I love these little tastes of Superromances!
From my upcoming release, BACK TO THE GOOD FORTUNE DINER, available as an ebook December, in stores January 2013.
Chris Jamieson was hot. Scalding H-O-T. The golden boy was now a golden man, and staring at him was
like staring at the sun. She was going to go blind or melt in her seat if she stayed any longer.
Her crush hadn't abated. Not one bit. And now, as a woman who'd literally had sex a blue moon ago, she was pretty sure her panties were on fire.
What fun quotes! My TBR pile is growing by the minute. I, too, think nooner is a funny word. Toe-kisser is, too.
Thanks for loving The Truth About Tara, Snookie! I'm a sucker for plots that have missing people in them.
Oh, this is fun. I probably should put one up from my Christmas book, but I'm going with an unedited one from the one I just turned in - His Uptown Girl.
“Hey,” Pansy whispered over Eleanor’s shoulder, making her jump. “You should go get him and see how you like sleeping on cracker crumbs.”
Eleanor blew out a breath. “I already know I don’t like sleeping on cracker crumbs.”
“With the right guy, you’ll never feel ‘em. Trust me.”
I really think Dez is the kind of guy that a gal would never feel the cracker crumbs...LOL
Liz
Funny coincidence - I'm reading Liz's snippet and guess what song is on Musak? Yep - Uptown Girl!
I swear this is true!!

Nooners, toe-kissing and cracker crumbs. So many great books to look forward to!
