Happy Monday everyone! I'm actually writing this on Sunday night - or rather, we are - about half an hour before we leave for the airport. We're flying all night tonight. We'll be home tomorrow night and then leave again on Tuesday, for another late night flight, to arrive in LA in time for an event Wednesday morning.
Yesterday was 'on sale' day for our new book, It Happened On Maple Street. I've done this whole tour thing before. Many times. Tim has, too, traveling with me. But this time is all new. We're both on tour now. Which means he has to do stuff, too. Yesterday, at our very first book signing, when they asked me to speak, Tim had to speak, too. He didn't use the mic. But he spoke loudly enough for everyone to hear him so that was okay. He did great.
And he did equally well with the book signing, too, as you can see up above. It was the greatest thing to have him there with me on this. I'm truly not alone. Not even in the signature part. I've never been a co-author. Or a co-much of anything. I'm not sure I ever want to go back to being a non co-author again. I will. I love writing and I love writing for Superromance. But nothing will be as good for me as writing with Tim. Sharing it all with him.
Tim's words on the subject: Yesterday was fun. Exciting. Good.
This is a once in a lifetime experience and we're thrilled that you all are sharing it with us.
The book is out there. First response has been overwhelming. We've seen things on facebook about the book. They're buying it. And reading it. It's scaring the heck out of me. And I'm reminded, gently, that this is why we wrote the book.
So off we go - into the wild blue yonder - or black as the case may be - on the adventure of a lifetime, hoping we're going to be doing good in the world. We'll be blogging all along the way and hope you all will continue to travel along, to share the adventure with us. And to help spread the word of hope and help to women who could have a brighter tomorrow.

I'm reading this at 11:00pm central time. I don't envy you all the flying you are doing because I don't fly well. My prayers will be with you two on your journey to get out a very important message.
I'm reading this at 12:27 Mountain time. By now you might be in the air. I got lost on Saturday and didn't find your last stop until Sunday. Hopefully I won't miss the bus again.
I'm so glad your signing went well. At the pace you are touring you won't be able to catch your breath.
I am sure you managed very well on your first book signing Tim. I wish this book every success!!

How wonderful to see you two together signing a book of your heart. Loved the pics and I'm so happy to see you doing such good in combating domestic abuse. Good for you both for caring so much about a worthy cause.
Your book is doing a good thing, and you're getting to do it with Tim. Sounds like a good deal all the way around!

I'm so glad that the reception for your book is going so well! I was sick for most of last week & haven't shaken the bug yet. That means I've not gotten my copy yet, but Honey is going back to the bookstore to look for it! He knows I'm really looking forward to reading your story!
